With it, he can recruit and train powerful allies called "operators," each with unique abilities. Alongside a brilliant con artist, a disturbing cleaner, and a vampire noblewoman, Ash begins a breakout that will lead him to discover the world's secrets, confront the corruption of nations, and fulfill, despite himself, a prophesied destiny: to become the savior of a doomed world. In a setting where sorcerers gain power from spirits and fallen souls leave behind magical books called Sorcerer's Manuals, Ash will fight against the system, blind faith, and the very gods who cursed him... with sarcasm, cunning, and a touch of chaos.
